Hydraulic clutch design out upgrade onboard 4x Damen ASD 2411 (2005).
As part of our life cycle support services, Damen Services Middle East installed an upgraded version of the hydraulic pump clutch and relating systems supported by a team from Albwardy Damen. Done on location at the vessels homeport, this update eliminates clutch failures and increases the uptime for the vessels by replacing the clutch between the main engine and the hydraulic pump along with an array of updates to both hydraulic and control systems.
The old foundations and supprts are re-used but needed fabrication on-site to fit the new housing. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget and the Damen vessels are now back at work with improved reliability.
