Our engineering team
Albwardy Damen has a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Production support team comprising qualified and experienced naval architects, engineers and draughtsmen, capable of providing end-to-end engineering services whether you have a newbuilding, conversion or shiprepair project. Our team is specialised in sustainable solutions including ballast water treatment systems, anti-fouling, redesign of engines to minimise electrical consumption, scrubbers, wind assisted propulsion and variable frequency drives to help meet the latest regulations.
Retrofits at any stage
Whether it is ballast water treatment, hybridisation, or any other retrofit, Albwardy Damen can support you at any stage. If you need engineering, fabrication of piping and structures, commissioning support or installation of equipment, we offer solutions, either in a ship, yard, afloat or during a voyage.
3D Scanning
We have had our own 3D scanning team since 2018. Our operators and engineers are able to take on complex challenges related to surveying and the design of marine projects anywhere in the world. Used for newbuilding, conversion and repair projects, this technology is a smart choice for saving time and resources, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

We have a large team of in-house specialists who can pick up the requests of any level of complexity. We are engineering, building and repairing steel or aluminum vessels. Our mechanical and electrical departments are all in-house. We have a large experience in retrofitting and conversions.
All major trades in-house
We have all major trades in-house, mainly carried out by our own staff. We offer 3D scanning, retrofitting, propeller repairs, thruster repairs, GRE piping, hydraulic and electric repairs. We have a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Production support team in-house.
